If you are looking for a new phone, you are most likely interested in doing some research before you just head out to the stores to purchase.  You need to know what is available on the market currently – and you are probably interested in how much mobile phone technology has changed since you last purchased a phone.

Because of the constant consumer demand, cell phone companies are constantly developing new phones, with new features and improving upon the phones of past years, which means that in the two years since you have purchased a phone, technology has most likely advanced through several different generations of phones – each generation having multiple phones with different features.  But, don’t let this make you feel overwhelmed, because no matter how many new features that phones have, they are still fundamentally the same – they allow users to make calls, to send text messages, to surf the internet, and play games.

They are some of the most advanced pieces of technology for their size, and some of the most popular phones of today are actually rivaling computers in their abilities and processing speeds/sizes.  Thinking about a phone as a handheld computer may help you put things into perspective a little more easily, because in reality, at the rate that phones are advancing, they will soon have all of the functions of the modern computer as well as their own unique features.

Review of Apple iPhone 4S

The phone that will be reviewed today is arguably one of the most technologically and user friendly phones available on the market today – the Apple iPhone 4S.  While this phone may not need an introduction, I’m sure that most users would still like to know a little about this blockbuster hit.  The iPhone 4S is the latest model available for purchase from Apple, and it comes from a long line of successful products.  The iPhone 4S does have a faster processor, as well as some seriously awesome modifications to the camera feature of the phone.  It now comes standard with all of the benefits of iOS 5, and we haven’t really even mentioned Siri yet, the iPhone’s voice assistant that is both a lot of fun and extremely useful for users.  Call quality on this phone isn’t bad, and data speeds aren’t 4G, but they are fast enough to get things done on this phone.

And The Bad…

The one serious complaint that user’s noted was the fact that it had taken the company quite a while to come out with the larger screen that graces this iPhone. The iPhone is still one of the pricier phones on the market and, with the lack of any serious update over the iPhone 4, this might not be the best mobile deals out there.

Phoebe Landers is a big Apple fan, and despite the 4S not being all that different than the 4, there’s a lot to like here.
