A software update for Verizon Droid Pro has been available now, and this is a good news for those who are waiting for another update from the first software update. The update is indeed the second one, after its first official release in smartphone market. Unfortunately, this software update for Verizon Motorola Droid Pro is not the OS upgrade on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the newest Google Android operating system.
Originally, Motorola Droid Pro is running Android 2.2 Froyo; and after the update, the smartphone is not going to run Android Gingerbread. However, there are various update on this smart phone’s features, especially on its bug fixes and performance. After the software update, users are allowed to encrypt the device’s internal memory and external memory, with AES 256-bit encryption. The software update for Verizon Motorola Droid Pro will also give users easier usage on controlling ActiveSync policies.
Just few days ago, one of Nokia’s new flagships Nokia E72 was reportedly to get a firmware update from its old version, to the brand new version 054.005. Nokia E72 previously came with firmware version v053.001. Originally 1 has been equipped with User Data Preservation; hence, there will be any effect to the stored data during and after this update. Yet still, it will be a better idea to backup the entire data inside the phone.
Nokia E72 users are able to update this firmware version using Over-The-Air feature, which has been installed in the phone. Users can also download the updated version from Nokia’s application called Software Updater for Nokia. Updating the version from this feature can be from Personal Computer with Windows OS. Several users might find out that their Nokia E72 has not received the update yet; it is possibly caused by the update has not reached users’ region product code. The update will be featuring SIM Lock 3.0, Ovi Store shortcut in Home Screen, and so forth.
