Panasonic is going to launch the HM-TA1 pocket-sized HD camcorder. Measuring 2.09-inch x 0.70-inch x 4.09-inch and weighing at just 0.25lb, the Panasonic HM-TA1 currently available in black, red, gray, and purple.

Specifications include a 2.0-inch LCD monitor, an SDXC/SDHC/SD memory card, an 8MP sensor, E.I.S. (Electrical Image Stabilization) to minimize hand-shake issues, a built-in LED light, a 4x digital zoom and several color effects enabling creative shooting (Sepia, Monochrome, and Soft Skin), and supports the Apple iFrame video format (960×540/30p), which is quick to import and easy to edit on a Mac. the Panasonic HM-TA1 will be available in August 2010 and should cost $169.95.
