AT&T has confirmed to launch BlackBerry Torch 9810, the carrier revealed the smartphone on their website as ‘Coming Soon’. The new Torch will be run BlackBerry 7 OS, powered by a 1.2 GHz processor and features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a 3.2-inch (640 x 480) capacitive touchscreen.
The BlackBerry Torch 9810 will be the world’s first 4G BlackBerry according to AT&T, it also comes with 8GB of built-in storage, a microSD card slot, a rear-facing 5 megapixel camera (720p video recording), a front VGA camera, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, and ’4G’ HSPA 14.4 Mbps support. No information on a price or release date but it expected to be available later this month.
Earlier this year, RIM made a breakthrough by developing a tablet that is running the same operating system as BlackBerry. The manufactured promised to unveil the tablet, which is recently called BlackBerry PlayBook, within few months. Recently, RIM did launch BlackBerry PlayBook as their very first tablet. Unfortunately, this tablet is still available in United States and Canada only.
Within few weeks, however, PlayBook is scheduled to release in other countries’ market. Anyway, RIM introduced this tablet under the title of ‘the world’s first professional-grade-tablet’, which is available in three optional versions based on internal memory. Each version of BlackBerry PlayBook is offered at different price tag: 64GB is priced $699, 32GB at $599, and 16GB internal memory that is priced at $499. Today, almost all US online and land-based markets as Best Buy, RadioShack, and Office Depot are selling this tablet. Later this summer, in addition, Sprint is scheduled to launch the 4G PlayBook.
After successfully hitting the smartphone market with its entire Blackberry lineup. Few weeks ago, it is reported that RIM was currently being developed BlackBerry Torch 9860 or merely known as BB Monza in both online and printed media. Although has not been officially announced the specs (and moreover price), the pictures of BlackBerry Torch 9860 have already leaked in the cyber world.
Besides the pictures, several specifications and details of BlackBerry Torch 9860 have also been leaked; although not official, the specs at least answer speculation about this phone’s technology. This BB series has supported HSUPA/HSDPA, and it is powered by 1.2 GHz processor. Comes with 3.7-inch touch screen, this new BB is presenting fine colors and details due to its 800 x 480-pixel resolution. Other specs of this new Blackberry smart phone are including 769MB RAM, 4GB eMMC internal storage, 5MP camera, and connectivity devices. Regardless of the gathered information, The BlackBerry Monza will be released within several months.
Research in Motion (RIM) has announced that the Blackberry Playbook will officially go on sale beginning April 19, but there is a good news that the tablet now available to be pre-ordered via Bestbuy at $499.99. The Playbook price is actually the most competitive with the iPad 2 out of any tablet thus far, the 16 GB, 32Gb and 64GB WiFi-only versions costs $499, $599 and $699, respectively. Blackberry Playbook will be available at Best Buys across the US, as well as AT&T, Office Depot, Sprint, Staples, and RadioShack.
