Motorola yesterday announced via their press release that the Motorola Flipout will be available next month in germany via Vodafone, O2 and The Phone House, for €349 ($428) free of contract.

The Flipout is an smartphone which runs Android 2.1  featuring a flipping QWERTY keyboard, a 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen display, MotoBlur, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Google Maps (with free navigation – where available), Crystal Talk technology, 3.5mm headset jack, and a 3MP photo camera.

HTC has officially announced that starting today the HTC Hero will receive Android 2.1 update notifications over the air (OTA) for Taiwanese and will be followed by other Asian and European markets soon.

HTC recommend you download the update over Wi-Fi to make sure you do not incur any additional 3G data charges.

Dell’s latest Android tablet called Streak aka Mini 5 get official yesterday in the UK. the android tablet offers a 5-inch touchscreen display, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 5-megapixel camera with dual LED flash, a front facing camera, a 2GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), GPS, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headset jack and runs on Android OS. The Dell Streak will become available in the UK from June via O2 and Carphone Warehouse.

Pioneer Computers recently released the DreamBook ePad 7, a 7-inch Android tablet that runs on Android 1.6 OS and powered by a 533MHz processor, a 256MB RAM, a 2GB SSD and a microSD card slot for up to 32GB storage.

The DreamBook ePad 7 also features a 1.3-megapixel camera, a music/video player, WiFi, GPS (optional), Bluetooth (optional), 3G (optional), a USB 2.0 port, and a 2400mAh battery.
